Navratri Celebration Sr. Kg. (2012-2013)

Dusshera is a festival of good over evil. The children of Sr.KG came dressed in traditional clothes to school.Teacher narrated a story on why "Dusshera" is celebrated and showed slides regarding the same. Children were then taken to the ground where they did Garba and Dandiya Raas in a traditional way.Children had fun and enjoyed the day.

 

 

Inter Class Quiz Competition Results Grade I - IV (2012-2013)

INTER- CLASS QUIZ COMPETITION

GRADE I-IV

Inter-class quiz competition was held for Grade I - IV from Monday, 8^th October to Thursday, 11^th October, 2012 in the school library. Each team comprised of 3 members representing their class. There were 4 rounds, where skilfully formulated questions were asked to grill the participants. The students participated with complete gusto. Team which scored highest points was declared winner followed by 1st runner- up and 2nd runner- up. All the team members were awarded participation certificates. The winners were awarded certificates of merit. Students from the audience bagged certificates for their active participation.

Poem Enactment Three Little Kittens - Nursery (2012-2013)

Poem Enactment

Nursery rhymes; children enjoy singing rhymes. They are also recited, mimiced, enacted and are sung and learnt for ages. WIS Nursery section celebrated 'Poem Enactment Day' on 15th October 2012, where children saw the rhyme on the projector and sung along with it. Children were dressed accordingly as mummy cat and three baby kittens, Children enjoyed enacting the rhyme.

 

Hexagon Day Nursery (2012-2013)

Hexagon Day

Introducing shapes plays an important part in the early stages of math education. Learning shapes is one of the goals of the pre-school curriculum.WIS Nursery section celebrated 'Hexagon Day' on Tuesday, 16th October 2012. Teacher decorated the class with hexagon shaped streamers and teacher narrated the story of Hexagon shape with the help of flashcards. Children were shown different objects of hexagon shape. Children drew hexagon shape in the air with their fingers.

Field Trip to People's - The Power Gym Gr. - I (2012-2013)

FIELD TRIP TO PEOPLE’S - THE POWER GYM

Students of Grade - I were taken for a field trip to People’s - The Power Gym on 4^th October, 2012. People’s has a spacious gym spread over four levels to provide an ambience that entices one to work out. The gym boasts of highly experienced trainers and an advanced Cardio Training Theatre which has an exhaustive range of equipments to boost the performance of heart and cardio with machine and free weights sections. Students were shown the different sections and were explained the importance of keeping fit and healthy. Few age appropriate exercises were demonstrated. At the time of departure the staff distributed sweets to the students. Teachers thanked the staff and the management for their assistance and co-operation.
