Fruit Salad

Fruits are the healthiest food for a person. Fruits stimulate the memory. Teacher discussed with the children the importance of having fresh fruits in our daily diet.

Keeping this in mind playgroup section celebrated 'Fruit Salad Day' on Tuesday, September 17^th, 2013. The objective was to introduce different fruits to the children. Teacher also showed children different fruit flashcards to make it easy for them to recognise, learn and identify the fruits. Children were asked to bring different fruits, and teachers discussed the taste and the colour of the fruits during the tiffin.

Later, teacher mixed all the cut fruits and served the Fruit salad to the children.  

 

 

Introduction to Cabbage and Cauliflower {WIS, Udaipur (2013-14)}

I am Cabbage, strong and crisp

I am magic mighty sprout

I can cease any disease

I am in – disease is out.

Children of P.G were introduced to Cabbage and Cauliflower. They enjoyed activity of twisting and pasting crepe paper on chart to make cabbage and also enjoyed the shelling activity. 

Quiz activity at WIS, Udaipur (2013-14)

"Discovery with action" is the caption of WIS. It means that learning by doing - discovering knowledge with action. Today young students of WIS discovered so much by participating in a school quiz. Students of first and second grade participated in the quiz.  The quiz was very nicely prepared by the teachers. Audience was spellbound by the entire program, which included sound effects, aptitude worksheets, buzzer rounds and interesting images etc. The program was concluded with the exciting rapid fire round. It was a learning experience for teachers, participants and audience.

Learning about Ladyfinger is great fun at WIS, Udaipur (2013-14)

I’m thin and long and slender, I am a lady finger. Would you remember to have me for your dinner. Mama makes me tasty, to see you eat your food. I’m filled with tons and tons of vitamins so good! Children of P.G were introduced to lady Finger. They also enjoyed making flower print using ladyfinger as a stencil.

Rhyme Enactment activity at WIS, Udaipur (2013-14)

Five little monkeys, jumping on the bed. One fell off and bumped her head. Mama called the doctor and the doctor said, “No more monkeys jumping on the bed”. Children of Nursery came dressed as Monkey, Mother and Doctor. They enjoyed the Rhyme Enactment with the help of props.
