Brown is the mud

Brown is the bear

Brown is the colour

Of my mother’s hair

And brown is the colour of chocolate

That I like to eat.

As a part of the colour day celebrations in Nursery section, Monday, 27 July 2015 was celebrated as “Brown Colour Day”. Children and teachers came dressed in brown colour clothes. Classroom was decorated with brown colour objects. Children enjoyed brown day visuals and had a fun filled day.

Chocolate Making (Sr KG) on 27.07.2015, WIS, Bhilwara

   Kids like to eat chocolates ,but they don’t know how to make it. So, an activity related to chocolate making was held on July 27' 2015 in WIS, Bhilwara. The required materials were arranged   like sugar powder, coconut powder, milkmaid and cocoa powder. Kids came forward and poured milkmaid, cocoa powder and sugar powder in utensils and mixed it with spoon. And then made small balls of it. The teacher spread coconut powder in a plate and kids rolled chocolate balls in it. The chocolates were served to the kids and they tasted self made chocolates and enjoyed eating. Kids were very excited when they learnt to make chocolates.

Today i.e. Monday, the Wittians of Sr.KG. at WIS, Udaipur had fun learning the making of chocolates in their classrooms. They learnt about the different ingredients that were used to make the relishing chocolates balls. Students enjoyed the activity and making their favorite sweet. 

Kargil Vijay Diwas

Witty International school celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas on July 27, 2015 to honour the Kargil war heroes. The programm started with a floral tribute to martyrs of the war by the teachers, accompanied by the students . The students of Grade 3 A and 3B were applauded for their performance on the song Saare Jaha se Accha' and the School choir sung a beautiful song Ae Mere Vatan ke Logon dedicated to the soldiers.They also presented a beautiful dance to pay tribute to the soldiers.The students were shown a documentary, outlining the events that took place in the Kargil war.

As a mark of respect, a two minute silence was also observed. Every individual should feel proud of our soldiers who are protecting the country.

SALAD DRESSING ACTIVITY AT WIS, UDAIPUR

It was a proud moment for WIS to conduct the  Activity ‘Cook without Fire’

"healthy mind resides in a healthy body as it brings joy and delight to us". to enliven this value in wittians salad making activity was organised on 27 july 2015 for the classes V-VIII. It was an effort to incorporate the healthy habits of eating salads, sprouts and raw fruits amongst children. the students impressed everyone with the mouth-watering salads prepared with seasonal fruits, vegetables and sprouts . various relishing home- made spicy colourful chutneys also added  flavour to their recipes bringing out the tastes of both indian & continental cuisines. all the students and teachers put forth their best endeavour in presenting and learning the recipes of these dishes. the benefit of eating green vegetables and fruits was also explained to the students. it was an enriching and entertaining activity overall.

Sensetution and Wellness Fair - Witty World [2015-16]

A sensitised step into the world of health.

Benjamin Franklin said, “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.”  This is exactly what the pre-primary children of Witty Kids, Ramchandra Lane and Witty World, Bangur Nagar did as they learnt about their 5 senses and the sense organs in an experiential manner at the event of ‘Witty Sensetution and Wellness Fair’ held on 25th of July, 2015 at Witty World.

The little Wittians of both the branches were accompanied by their parents and siblings to experience a hands-on learning about their 5 senses i.e. Sight, Hear, Touch, Taste and Smell. The classrooms were converted into sense-specific rooms that displayed information as well as had an array of exciting games pertaining to the sense it depicted. 

Wellness also was given due importance in this event, keeping in mind the theme for the year ‘Health is Wealth.’ Specialist doctors like ENT doctors, ophthalmologists and dentists who examined the children for the respective sense organs. The general physicians conducted a routine health check-up of the children while the parents got their BMI, Blood sugar, blood pressure and body fat analysis conducted at this Wellness Fair. 

Fitness, another important aspect of health, was presented in an entertaining form through fun-filled yoga and zumba sessions. 

A sensitised Saturday event ended with the tempting takeaway of freshly popped, mouth-watering popcorn! 

 

Tiny Wittians Learnt Hair styling at WIS, Udaipur

“Views and suggestions from an expert are always valuable”

Truly said the above lines. The Wittians of Jr.KG. are learning about the concept of community helpers. We all live in a society and are interdependent on each other. Hair dresser is one of them. To have an expert’s advice, the Wittians were introduced to one of the renowned Hair Dresser of Udaipur, who had come to share her valuable experiences wherein the students had learnt about taking care of their hair and its styling dressing. Children enjoyed the guest visit & learnt about the equipments brought by her.

Eye Check up

Vision is closely linked to the learning process.

Our eye is an organ of vision which gives us the sense of sight, allowing us to learn. 

Eye exams for children play an important role in ensuring normal vision development and academic achievement of all kids. It is vital, as it helps in early detection of eye disorders or any other eye ailments among students.

At Witty International School all round development of child incorporates physical health too. In accordance with this an eye check up was organised for the students of the Primary section at RCL School.

Ophthalmologist Dr. Payal Doshi  along with her team conducted the eye check up. Report of the students’ vision was submitted by the doctors to the students.
