It is described in Vedic scriptures is that Lord Shiva is the topmost devotee of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Vishnu. And Ganesha is the son of Lord Shiva and Parwati.  Ganesha is a demigod, who is considered to be very wise and auspicious. Today, people celebrate the divine appearance of Shri Ganesha in various parts of India, with great enthusiasm.
Following this trend, WIS also celebrated Ganesha Chaturthi festival in a unique way. The program began by the Principal offering a ghee lamp to Sri Ganesha. The program was conducted by Grade III students and all the presentations were by the students of IIIA and B.The little children sang sweet bhajans, performed dance and drama depicting lord Ganesha,s wit.
These programs  help creating deep positive impressions upon the consciousness of the young students, which help them in the future.
