Making
the best out of waste has been a part of human life since the early ages. It
was the human creative mind that gave birth to this extraordinary idea of using
unwanted material in a useful way.
To teach our
children the importance of conserving the resources and to make the best use of
waste things in life, “Best Out of Waste Competition” was conducted for the
students of Grade I - IV on Tuesday, 28th July 2015.
Students were
motivated to participate and prepare Eco-friendly products out of waste materials.
Students were
expected to make any one of the following:
Grade I – II: Pencil
stand, face mask, flowers or photo frame
Grade III – IV: Magazine
holder, flower basket, puppet or wall hanging
Students were
judged on the basis of the following criteria:
Imagination and Creativity,
Originality, Neatness and Overall Presentation
Children worked
enthusiastically to use their imagination at its best thereby enhancing their
creativity and even bearing how to reduce, reuse and recycle the waste.
