Let’s salute the Nation on this
auspicious day.
70th Independence Day was
celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at WIS.
To commemorate the sovereignty of
our Nation, Director Mr. Hemant Paliwal, in the presence of Principal Mrs.
Shubha Govil along with Manager Coordination Mrs. Manju Rana unfurled the
Tricolor and all in unison sang the National Anthem and expressed the joy of
our freedom.
The Head Boy Hanish Mali shared his views on the
significance of the day. The Witty Choir sang a Patriotic Song that awakened
everyone’s feelings towards our Motherland.
The programme continued with
scintillating dance performances by the students. A skit was presented by
Grade- XI and XII students who gave us a message that inspite of Corruption, Bribery
and Eve Teasing, there are people who are fighting as freedom fighters to save
our Nation.
The Programme concluded with Vote of
Thanks by Head Girl Hinica Badola.
Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day
to love and respect for our country and make it a better place for Indians to
live and experience the Freedom, Peace and Unity in diversity.
