Independence Day
On
15th August,1947, India got its Independence. This day has a special significance for
all Indians. It reminds us of the sacrifices and struggle of our freedom
fighters to make our country free from the British rule. Independence Day is
celebrated all over the nation.
We celebrated Independence Day on 12th August, 2016
(Friday) with immense pride and solemnity. The class was decorated with
the tri– colour flag. Teachers and children were dressed up in tri –
colour clothes and children of each section did various activities for
Independence Day.
Children
were explained about the importance of the Flag and its tri- colour. The
Orange (Saffron) colour represents- Courage and Sacrifice while the White
colour represents Truth and Peace, Green colour stands for Faith and the Ashok
Chakra represents the Laws of Dharma. Children were explained about
National Leaders, Flower, Animal and Bird.
Children
saluted the National Flag, sang the National Anthem and patriotic songs.
