Amongst many
religious and social customs that mark the diverse festive calendar of Indians,
Ganesha Chaturthi, the birth of the Elephant-headed God, Ganesha,is a very
important religious occasion.
Wittians of
Primary Section, Pawan Baug celebrated this
auspicious festival with great enthusiasm
on 1st September 2016. Students of Grades I – V enjoyed the mask making
activity. Mask making is one of the most enjoyable crafts that children can be
engaged in. This activity was organized to explore and encourage creativity in
children and offer them a platform to show their skill in mask making. It
inspired children to think and work creatively and promoted artistic
excellence.
This fun filled activity witnessed an enthusiastic
participation of all the students.The
importance of how a single festival could unite so many diverse people of India was made amply clear and how celebration
brings out the splendour and the spirit of sharing and giving and the strength
of the city's artistic traditions was discussed on this day.
