I bought beautiful Rakhi,
For my sweet brother,
To celebrate
Rakshabandhan,
With great fervour.
Our Indian
festivals serve as window to see the complete picture of our culture and
traditions. The festival Rakshabandhan is dedicated to mark the strongest bond
of love and affection between sisters and brothers. Witty Kids, R.C. Vyas colony,
Bhilwara celebrated this pious day on Friday, August 24, 2018 with great fervour
and zeal. The decoration done for the festival reflected the festive mood everywhere
in the school premises. Our little Wittians made beautiful Rakhis not only to
be acquainted with the festival but also to explore their creativity for the
same. Kids presented many progammes
prepared for the festival such as play, songs, poems and dances. During the
programme, the teachers explained the significance of the festival and excited sisters
tied the auspicious thread [Rakhi] around their brothers' wrist and prayed for their
well being, as they put tilak on their brothers' foreheads. On this festival,
all the kids took a solemn promise to protect and take care of their sisters,
brothers and friends.
