Star
light, star bright,
First star I see tonight
I wish I may, I wish I might,
Have
this wish I wish tonight!
Twinkle Twinkle little star is indeed the
first poem we learnt at school and we still love to sing the same. The moon and
the stars shining on a dark night, isn’t that a magnificent sight! Who didn’t
want to explore space as a kid! We at Witty International School believe in
playful learning experience so we organized a “Star gazing event” at Witty kids
Bangur Nagar on 8th February 2019. Our little wittians got an opportunity
to view the stars through telescope.
Children came to school in the evening and
were welcomed into the classrooms decorated with shining moons and stars. They
sang songs and rhymes on Space and also enjoyed games related to the same.
Their enthusiasm rose higher when they were taken on the school terrace for
star gazing. They were up close and personal with the Moon and the Stars, which
help them, gain more knowledge about the cosmos. They were given information
about constellations and planets by an expert. This pleasant experience was
followed by a short animated movie on space.
When
back in class, our wittians created a space scene in their scrap books with the
help of teachers and penned down their experience too! It was a fun filled,
exciting and a starry evening!
