We all know the importance of a well-balanced
diet for good health. But eating right is challenging in our over-processed and
fast food world. It can be especially difficult to get children to choose
fruits, vegetables and whole grains when they constantly see advertisements
pushing sugary products and empty-calorie foods. It takes the concerted efforts
of a nation to change our food culture and that is exactly what THE NATIONAL
JUNK FOOD DAY aims to help do.
Students of Grade I and II of Witty International
School, Atun road, Bhilwara celebrated the national junk food day on Monday,
July 22,2019 by presenting really interesting and very informative programs
showing the importance of eating healthy food and avoiding junk food. Riddles
based on fruits and vegetables were framed by the kids and were asked in the
special assembly. Students presented a skit highlighting the significance
of healthy food. The efforts of the tiny kids of Grade I & II were
appreciated by everyone. At the end Curriculum Head of Witty, Ms Sheetal Kapoor
guided and motivated the students to eat healthy food, so that they remain active and wise.
