NATIONAL JUNK FOOD DAY
“Observe yourself from head to feet that will show you what
you eat”.
National Junk Food Day is that day of the year
that permits to chow down on the foods we usually don’t include in our daily
diet. Junk foods, contain high fats, sugars, salt, and calories and have
very little nutritional value.
Taste and health always go side by side but the quality
of food is what matters the most. The custom of eating junk food in many is increasing day by
day.Hence in
today’s world of junk food, it’s important to give the young generation options
to make healthy versions of their favourite junk
foods so as to entice them to enjoy a little and eat junk the healthy way.
Making
healthy choices is a skill that we want to instil in students at Witty Kids. Wittians had
a great experience making yummy
and nutritious brown bread vegetable sandwiches. To
make the sandwiches more delicious and tempting, mayonnaise and cheese was
added.
Little
Wittians of grade I prepared a yummy savoury snack ‘bhel’ with puffed rice and
vegetables. The mouth-watering sandwiches and bhel was relished by the students.
It
was a fun-filled activity that motivated the young chefs not only to adopt a healthy life style through which they can acquire
mental and physical fitness but also to be self-reliant.
