If
you’re wearing red today,
Red today, red today,
If you’re wearing red today,
Stand up and shout, “Hooray!”
Red today, red today,
If you’re wearing red today,
Stand up and shout, “Hooray!”
Recognizing the colours and identifying the colour names is
an important part of a child’s development. Early identification of colours
helps to create the cognitive link between visual clues and words.
Red is the warmest of all colours. It symbolizes love,
life and vitality. Red is also the colour of power and courage. “Red
day” was celebrated on 3rd July 2019 where all the little
Wittians of Jr. KG were dressed up beautifully in red colour clothes. The
class was decorated with all red colour objects like red cherries, red bag, red
strawberries, red apples etc. Teachers were also dressed up in red colour
clothes. Teacher also showed “Red Hen” Story to the children. The children also
brought objects of red colour. Children made a red colour magnifying glass
using gelatin paper to emphasize the colour. They also had a drama and theatre
effect where a flash light was shown and children were asked to come and
narrate a rhyme below the flash light.
It was a fun filled red colour day for little wittians to
become more familiar with the concept.
