Many schools and
community organizations sponsor clubs for children and adolescents to provide
opportunities for youth to participate in activities, interact with peers in a
supervised setting, and form relationships with adults. Hence,
Witty International School, Atun Road, Bhilwara also decided to
give a platform to the students to showcase and hone their talents and for this,
various clubs were formed which were for the students, to the students and by
the students. Keeping this thought in mind that these clubs will not only help
students shape their personal interests and hobbies but also will improve their
leadership and social skills, Witty offered 11 clubs
for the students of Grades VI to X and
made them free to choose any one of the clubs depending on their interest
such as Witty Spotlight-Theater Club,
Witty Infinity -Dance Club, Witty Lab Rats-Science Club, Witty Symphony- Music
Club, Witty Pixelate -Media Club, Witty Techtronix- Tech Club, Witty Literati-
Literary Club, Witty ROFL-Comedy Club, Witty Piccaso- Art Club, Witty Awaaz-
Community of Student Advocates Club, Witty Mathletes- Math Club. The
selected students of each club joined online club orientation session held on
Saturday, September 12, 2020 in which teacher in charges guided and explained
each and every aspect of that particular club. Students also explored their
ideas and shared the reason behind their choices and enjoyed a lot learning
from each other during orientation club period. During this online orientation,
students learnt a sense of ownership, as they were told to contribute to the
planning, maintenance, and success of the clubs. The eager and
kinetic Wittians seemed so enthusiastic when they came to know that they will
be able to lead all of the activities. Witty found that participating in such clubs
is more productive and healthier way
for the students to spend leisure time.
