Navratri is a
festival celebrated in India for nine days. The tenth day is commonly referred
to as Vijayadashami or
"Dussehra". Children from pre-primary section at Witty World celebrated
Dussehra on Wednesday, 21st October dressed in colourful, ethnic
clothes. Children were
explained the importance of the festival through a story on AV slides. Children
were explained the victory of good over evil and the worship of Goddess Durga
followed by various activities like role play and drawing an effigy of Raavan
in scrap book. Children made dandiya sticks and later enjoyed dancing on foot
tapping garba songs. It was truly a colourful and a fun filled event.
