WIS Udaipur celebrated its 8th
Annual Day for the junior wing on Friday, 12th January, 2018 amidst great zest,
vibration and elation.
The programme commenced with the
lighting of the Ceremonial lamp by the Honourable Chief Guest Mr. Rahul
Bhatnagar, Chief conservator of forest, wildlife, Udaipur, Chittore and
Rajsamand escorted by the other dignitaries, Mr. N C Dangi, District Education
Officer (DEO, Udaipur)Dr. Sujan Singh ji -an educationist and Vice President of
Scout and Guide Rajasthan and Dr.Mamta Dhupia - President Rotary Club Meera.
This entailed the welcome of eminent guests by a melodious welcome song. The
Annual report of the school's achievements and accolades was put by group of
students through a mock parliament termed as Witty News. This was followed by
the Prize Distribution Ceremony to felicitate meritorious students in academics
and extra curricular activities. The Principal Mrs. Shubha Govil addressed the gathering and
appreciated the efforts of the parents in ensuring that their children are
confident and have the right values.
The Cultural programme based on the
theme "Make in India" continued with a scintillating Welcome Dance.
The students dressed in colourful attires staged brilliant performances
expressing the rich culture and heritage of the nation. The dances truly ranged
across a broad gamut of Bhangra, Folk, classical, Hip-Hop amongst others which
truly set the stage on fire. The story revolved around the journey of Aladdin
and his friends throughout the nation.
Trustee and Managing Director Dr.
Vinay Jain emphasized on the need of organising such functions as they bring
out the inner potential and innate qualities of each and every student. The
culmination of the function was marked by the grand Finale. Headmistress, Ms.
Joyce Rodrigues applauded the efforts put by the entire Witty family.
