"An
occasion to thank the ones who show the way."
Nelson
Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change
the world.” The teacher imparts education hence the role of the teacher is of
paramount importance both in the present and future of a student.
On
27th July ’18 Witty Kids Chikoowadi celebrated the auspicious day of Guru
Purnima to honor the teachers with great reverence and devotion. The program
started with the shloka “Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheshwar” followed
by welcome dance by the students of grade II – IV. It was
a complete festive ambience wherein a plethora of performances highlighted the
importance of a Guru in shaping a student's life. Various
dance and music performances depicting the role of a Guru
in fostering excellence and steering the pupils towards fulfilling their
individual potentials were presented by the students. A Guru is anyone from
whom we learn something. To reinforce
this statement students recited a poem ‘Prakriti Ka Sandesh’ and presented a
short skit that helped students to understand that not only different things in
nature such as mountains, seas, waves, skies but also peers can be our Guru as
they teach us to be strong and face the hurdles of life. The skit also touched
the sensitive issue of educating the girl child.
Different grades contributed in different ways to make this show a successful event. The program concluded with gaiety all around.
