Career Guidance to the Commerce Section at WIS, Pawan Baug (2020-21)

RIGHT ACTION, IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION, AT THE RIGHT TIME

Students in the grades IGCSE I to the A levels are almost always haunted with a daunting question whether the option selected by them as a career for  themselves will take them or not to the place they plan to see themselves in a few years. In Witty International School although most of our students have a clear picture of the future there is always a question lurking, ‘Can I do more?’

An attempt was made by Witty International School on Saturday 4^th July 2020 to help and guide our students to the destinations best suited for them. We called upon CA Anu Agrawal to speak on the various avenues available to the Commerce students for the future. She broke the webinar into various stages of formation – from more widely accepted courses like BCom, BAF, BMS to the more professional courses available like CA, CS, CLAT and ACCA. She helped them understand how each course has its own individuality and has further specialisation which can be sought after once dealt with the basics. The session ended with a question-answer slot which was dealt with finesse by the guest speaker.

 The students definitely benefited much from the session and was well appreciated by parents as well. Principal Bijo Kurian has stated “Our greatest fears lie in uncertainty. Our attempt is to help students face these uncertainties by replacing them with knowledge. They now face their fears with courage.”
