Krishna Janamashtami, is one
of the biggest festivals celebrated all over India. It depicts Lord Krishna’s naughty
behaviour in his childhood and youth. In North India, breaking of Dahi Handi is
very popular.
The students and teachers of Witty International School celebrated Janmashtami
on August 11, 2020. with immense enthusiasm. Students of Grade 1 – 5 (ICSE)
participated in various activities with great zeal and zest.
Little Wittians of grade 1
& 2 dressed up as Radha/Krishna created a festive ambience for the virtual
activity. Students happily displayed their mukut and traditional attire.
Teachers and children of Grade
1 - 3 had fun time participating in the flute making activity, children were
seen using the handmade flute to explore sound and make music. Grade 4 & 5
students enthusiastically participated in the cradle making activity and the
outcomes were splendidly creative.
The fun-filled activities helped
to infuse within students, respect of their culture; absorb the significance of
different festivals and also relate to the meaning of the festival.
