Patriotism finds a digital expression.
As the nation geared up for 74th Independence Day celebration, Witty International School Borivli
uplifted the same patriotic fervor as always, this year virtually.
Wittians got the privilege to interact with Indian Air Force Pilot, Mahesh Aserkar who inspired the
students about his journey with the Indian Armed Forces.
Channelizing the creativity of students through dramatizations, Kavi sammelan and various other
cultural programmes was the main focus of the event. During the live streaming, the students were
excited about rekindling the patriotic spirit in each of us by bringing to life the national heroes of
Indian Freedom Struggle.
Wittians also donned the chef’s hat as they made yummy tricolor sweets as they sung along with
Witty Alumni Rishikesh, to a heartwarming patriotic medley.
Students wrote letters to the President of Indian on their vision and role in the development of
Modern India.
Principal, Dr. Jennifer Pereira stated, “Patriotism or national pride is the feeling of love, devotion and
sense of attachment to the homeland. It is about taking pride in one's origin and working for the
prosperity of the nation.”
Even in these difficult times of Covid-19, all the teachers and students celebrated the occasion with great pomp.
