To explore the world outside and to give the students an
exposure and opportunity to learn beyond the classroom, and excursion to Kullu-Manali-Sonapani was organized for
the students of Grade IV to X.
Students departed for Delhi on 8th May’2012 and
had one night halt at Chandigarh where they visited the Neckchand’s Rock
Garden, Sukhna Lake, Rose Garden and Pinjore Garden.
Next day they stared the onward journey to Manali, The
Valley of Gods! The experience of enjoying the chill in the atmosphere was a
great respite from the scorching summer of Rajasthan. Children enjoyed visiting
the local tourist spots like the Hadimba Temple, Vashisht Bath and the serene Tibetan
Monastery.
Visit to the Snowline and Sonapani glacier was the biggest
treat to the children as they spent an unforgettable time romping the snow clad
mountains and playing in the snow. Children enjoyed a leisurely stroll down the
Mall Road in the evening and shopped for gifts and trinkets to carry back home.
On the way back they enjoyed visiting a Shawl Factory at
Kullu and saw the process of weaving shawls.
All the children’s were enthusiastically welcomed by the
parents on their return to Udaipur on 14th May 2012.
