From the moment they are born young children learn about their world by watching and listening. Modern psychologists agree that young children learn best by 'Seeing and Doing' and these actions lead to a child's linguistic, rationale and logical skills.

WIS Nursery section celebrated poem enactment on 20th June, 2012. Wherein children enacted the rhyme " Mary had a little lamb ". Children expressed different emotions for example ' how the lamb would feel if he was put out of the class' or ' How children reacted when Mary brought a lamb to school.

Having colour theme days is a great way to reinforce the concept of colours to children.Red has more personal associations than any other colour. Red is inherently exciting and the amount of red is directly related to the level of energy perceived. Red colour can immediately focus attention on a particular element.

WIS Nursery section celebrated Red Day on 21st June, 2012 wherein all children wore red colour clothes and the teacher decorated the class with red colour objects. Children brought red colour eatables in their tiffin such as plums, cherries, etc.Children enjoyed listening to a story on the colour 'Red'.

Circle Day - Nursery [2012-13]

Preschool teachers lay a foundation for future math learning when they introduce young children to basic goemetric shapes.

WIS Nursery section celebrated circle shape on 15th June,2012. Wherein the teachers decorated the class with circle shape streamers. Children brought circle shape snacks in their tiffin. Children drew the shapes in the air with their pointer finger. During artistry time children made paper plate face. For the group activity children created circle shape smiley using dabbers. The smiley's were then given to children as take aways, to be taken home.
