Social Studies is now Volcanic!
Wittians firmly believe that without
practical knowledge, theoretical knowledge is incomplete. Keeping this motto
and CCE in mind, the students of Grade X made a working model of Volcano using basic
kitchen ingredients like Eno and baking soda. The students actively
participated and enjoyed the experiment. The system of Continuous Comprehensive
Evaluation appreciates the practical implementation of the theory taught. This
innovative experiment not only was interesting but also chiseled their
analytical skills. The students realized that Social Studies is now no more
boring but has become very interesting with the demonstrative presentation of
the lessons taught.

Water Play Nursery (2012-2013)
Water play is very pleasurable for young children. Water play is good for children's physical, mental and socio - emotional growth. When children pour water, they are improving their physical dexterity and eye - hand coordination. By playing with others, blowing bubbles or washing baby dolls they develop social skills. At the same time, they use their mind as they explore why certain objects sink in water and others float. Children learn concepts such as empty/ full, before/ after, shallow/ deep and heavy/ light in a hands on way.
WIS nursery section organised water play on 29th june,2012. Boys and girls had seprate water pool to play in. Parents were priorly informed about the water play so that they could bring swim suits. Children were very excited and had great fun playing in water pool.

Favourite Toy Day Nursery [2012-13]
Favourite Toy Day
Researches
in child development have shown that play activities enhance every aspect of a
child's mental and physical growth. Important social skill is developed in
children while they play with their favourite toys. Play also helps improve
their visual and auditory senses.
WIS
Nursery section celebrated favourite toy day on 26th June, 2012. This is the
only day where children can bring their favourite toy to school. Children
placed their toy in a pool and when it was their turn children showed their
friends which toy they have brought and tell something about it, and why it is
their favourite toy. After show and tell children were allowed to play with
