WIS welcomed their little community helpers on 29th September 2015, as the children of Senior KG section came geared up for their “Dress Me Up" as a teacher,doctor, carpenter, pilot, vendor and so on.
Each child either sang a song or spoke a few lines on their respective community helper's and the others joined in. Children received cheers and encouragement from their fellow mates which boosted their confidence and helped those with stage fright overcome it. Such activity enhances the child’s confidence, builds imagination and helps them gain a better understanding of the world around them and makes them appreciate the services rendered by the community helpers.

 

Wittians Of Sr.KG Visit The Furniture Showroom

“Let us all work hand in hand and make our life easy to govern by us. Yes, We all are community Helpers who work in everyday life to serve and help each other.”

Senior KG under the concept of the community Helpers, learnt about the work of a carpenter and the types of furniture made by him. Learning more about it, the Sr.KG Wittians went for a field trip to the Furniture Showroom. Here, they explored the different types of furniture used in the office and our homes. On the way they were also shown fire engine, fire fighters, shopkeepers, policeman, driver and the conductor. Children enjoyed watching the different types of sofas, chairs, tables, bed, dressing table, tea table and side tables. They also saw the different types of mattresses and explored the beauty of floors and furnishing.

They had a fun and frolic trip.

Doctor helps when down with flu,
Teacher teaches reading and writing too.
Fire fighter fights fire that might harm you,
Police officer helps us stay safe in all that we do.

Grocer helps in buying things for food,
Carpenter makes lovely things from wood,
Dentists check whether your teeth are good.
Postman, Painter, Baker and Hair dresser;
All these community helpers make our lives easier!!!

On Tuesday, 29th September, 2015, Witty World saw a parade of teachers, bakers, doctors, fire fighters and other community helpers, as Sr. KG children participated in a culminating activity for the theme of the week- Community Helpers. All the children were dressed up as their favourite and desired community helper. They were enthusiastic and confidently showcased their talents on stage. Each child either sang a song or spoke a few lines on their respective community helper and the others joined in. Children received cheers and encouragement from their fellow mates which boosted their confidence and helped those with stage fright overcome it. They thoroughly enjoyed using the child size Witty podium to enhance their presentation. It was role play at its best indeed!

Playgroup celebrated Colour Day at Witty World (2015-16)

Colour Day

Colors, colors, everywhere,

Colors, colors, here and there,

Colors ,colors, that I see,

Colors, colors, on you and me.

The children of playgroup celebrated “Colour Day” on 29^th September,2015 Tuesday. The class was decorated with red, blue and yellow colour objects. Children were dressed in red, blue and yellow and were asked to bring the same colour toy. Children discussed the toys they had brought matching their dress. They were shown slides on colours and were very eager to do the balloon dabbing activity with their respective colour paints.

What a fun and unique way of learning colours!!

Quantitative Analysis by Wittians

Chemistry, being a branch of Science, is not exception i.e. it is essentially an experimental Science.

Senior Secondary students performed chemistry practical based on “TITRATION”.

Detailed observations were made and sample regarding and calculations were provided for the practical conducted were provided for the practical conducted. Viva was taken and questions with answers pertaining to each experiment were compiled to help students to prepare for viva-voice.

Little Wittians were introduced to letter Ll using flashcards and objects beginning with the letter Ll. To add more fun to the introduction as well as to beat the blazing sun and the searing heat "Lemonade Making Activity" was accompanied in the Nursery Section of Witty Kids on Monday, 28 September 2015. Children felt a sense of accomplishment as they prepared lemonade with their little hands using lemon juice, sugar and water with the assistance of their class teachers. They could not control their excitement once it was ready and stood eagerly in a queue holding a glass, waiting impatiently to taste their own madevrecipe! Children thoroughly enjoyed the hands on cooking experience which also created a strong sensory association for the letter Ll.

On Monday 28th of September, 2015 in witty world the little Wittians were introduced to letter Ll, using flashcards and objects beginning with the letter Ll. What made it more fun was the lemonade making activity which accompanied it. Children thoroughly enjoyed the hands on cooking experience which also created a strong sensory association for the letter Ll. Along with these activities we emphasized on letter “L is for lemon” and “L is for Lemonade”.

All in all it was a fun day for the tiny tots.
