Off to school.

We all had a special cuddly teddy as a child, so we all know how important the toys are for kids.

On Saturday, 3rd October 2020, Teddy Bear’s Tea Party was organised virtually for our Pre-primary kids of Witty World and Witty International School.

Little Wittians enthusiastically came with their favourite soft toy. They enjoyed teddy bear hunting and picnic songs along with the game and made yummy chocolate cookies in the fireless cooking activity.

The tiny Wittians made some good memories with their soft toys. It was a fun-filled day for our little ones.

However, this year, the celebration got shifted online due to the corona virus crisis and it was little bit different but full of gusto, passion and patriotism. Students were very eager to show the offline tasks which were assigned them to make this day livelier such as Poster Making for National Symbols, Tricolour Mask Making, Tricolour Tiara/ Wrist band making and so on to celebrate the glory of Independence Day and to make the students learn that as patriotic citizens, we all need to put extra efforts into performing our civic responsibilities and our diversity should not be seen as a weakness but as our greatest strength.

Webinar on Career in Medicine for Secondary Section at WIS, Pawan Baug (2020-21)

IS A CAREER IN MEDICINE RIGHT FOR YOU?

It was an innovative weekend filled with information and guidance for the students. This week was designed keeping the students in mind and especially those interested in pursuing Science (Medicine) in the future.  The frequentqueries on whether, “Am I taking the right path?”This is a poker for every mind that set on this journey, therefore the school took up the opportunity to help our budding minds mature with the session on Saturday at 9.00 am 18th July 2020. Our guest speaker wasDr. Mudit Shah - MBBS, MS (Orthopaedics’).

Dr. Mudit Shah began with the statement that choosing your career is one of the most important decisions that you will ever make. He highlighted that Medicine pays you handsomely. But for him it would not matter, at even a meagreamount. He would want to make a difference by helping people and positively impacting their lives through health care. Serving others as a physician is the most noble and challenging way to invest ones intellect, skills, and passion in a demanding and rewarding profession.

As you weigh your career options, take time to reflect upon how the opportunities, preferences, and talents you possess compare with the demands and benefits of a medical career. He also gave some suggestions to help the students get started.

The best of his explanation was the one on the “Hippocratic Oath”. He brilliantlyslide forth a dream throughan instance he reflected upon. He stated that when you get your Convocation at college with an academical dress and hat to top it on your graduation, we get a stethoscope and the Gray anatomists render the same “Hippocratic Oath” carefully to a line, the one of which is still etched in his mind today.

He more so wanted the studentsto know themselves– their goals, aptitudes, personality, interests, and values. The best place to begin to answer this important question was to consider using personal insight on themselves as a person, as well as the potential careers.

Grades VIII to A level had a very informative, engaging and knowledge filled session with Dr. Mudit Shah. The question answer session was fabulous. Dr. Mudit explained it very well. The webinar was great and helpful. It cleared their doubts and each got to know what they really want to be in future...

Assembly at WIS, Udaipur

"To be happy in life, you must learn the difference between what you want vs what you need."
We often consider needs and wants as one thing but needs are something that you must have, in order to live. On the contrary, wants are something that you wish to have, so as to add comforts in your life. Students of grade 4 Cambridge presented an assembly wherein they showcased that needs represent the necessities while wants indicate desires.
