To understand a concept well, it is important that children
apply it to everyday life.
To reinforce the concept of Food, the tiny tots of Grade II
had fun in making a nutritive salad as a part of their Science activity, where
they prepared a variety of colourful and healthy fruit and vegetable salads.
While they enjoyed eating their salads, they were also
enlightened with the benefits of eating a high fibrous diet. Principal, Ms
Shubha Govil appreciated the efforts of the students and said that the
medicinal properties from fresh herbs keep us rejuvenated. Salad makes us feel
lighter and is a good replacement to lunch or dinner because it makes us feel
bloated, lethargic or plain lazy. Director, Ms. Preeti Sogani appreciated the
Wittians for their inclination towards healthy food and encouraged them to
avoid junk food.
