Have you ever wondered why most early childhood programs teach children colours in their early years?

Its because colour is a very noticeable attribute of the world around us.

Nursery section celebrated Brown day on 25^th July, 2013, by doing an experiment of mixing colours that is red+yellow+blue=brown. The classes were decorated with brown colour hangings. Children were dressed in brown colour clothes and were asked to bring brown colour snacks in tiffin. Children were excitedly discussing the brown colour snacks brought by them in their tiffin.

Children were also shown many concrete objects of brown colour.

To make it more interesting, children were taken out for a nature walk, where they were shown nature’s brown colour things like mud, twigs, stem, dried leaves and so on. Children had a fun learning experience and enjoyed their day.
