Independence Day
On
15th August,1947, India got its Independence. This day has a
special significance for all Indians. It reminds us of
the lives that were specified to help us get freedom from the
British. The Independence Day is celebrated all over the nation.
We celebrated
Independence Day on 14th August, 2013 (Wednesday)
with immense pride and solemnity. The class was decorated with the tri–
colour flag. Teachers and children were dressed up in tri – colour clothes.
Children
were explained about the importance of the Flag and its tri- colour. The
Orange (Saffron) colour represents- Courage and Sacrifice while the White
colour represents Truth and Peace, Green colour stands for Faith and the Ashok
Chakra represents the Laws of Dharma. Children were explained about
National Leaders, Flower, Animal and Bird.
Children saluted the National Flag and sang the National Anthem. The children danced on the tunes of patriotic songs
