Chemistry...A
difficult subject...A part of our daily life...A game of elements...or A
mystery of chemicals..
Chemistry
is a necessary part of your everyday life. We find chemistry in daily life in
the foods we eat, the air we breathe, our soap, our and literally every object we can see or touch.
CHEMISTRY’ is science that
systematically studies the composition, properties, activity of substances and
various elementary forms of matter.
There are many people in the world who do not understand
Chemistry. Chemistry should be made more easy, interesting and fun for
everyone, keeping this in mind, Witty International, Malad(W), students of
grade 6, organised a Chemistry exhibition, in the last week of June, under
guidance of Ms. Neerja and Ms. Nivedita. They displayed their models of the
compound. They showed ‘How elements are chemically bonded in 3 dimensions to
form a compound?” This activity developed student’s concept about compound
formation and helped them to understand that ‘why one compound is different to
other?’ One more very interesting thing of this exhibition was that students
used only waste materials to make their models. It showed their feeling to save
the environment and utilize waste products as well.
