Little
Chefs at Work…
Foods that have little nutritional value and often high in
fat, sugar, salt and calories are believed to be junk foods. The only reason of
their gaining popularity and increased trend of consumption is that they are
ready to eat or easy to be cooked.
Students
of Witty International School, Malad (W) redefined the meaning of Junk Food in
their own way. On the occasion of International Junk Food Day, students of
primary section (Grade I – IV) prepared healthy corn bhel. It was appreciated
the way the activity was carried out as part of the Enrichment Hour. Children’s
culinary skills were visible as they enjoyed making the wholesome, substantial
and easy to prepare dish. They were equipped with all the necessary ingredients
for making their recipe really scrumptious. The mouth watering recipe left many
of us amazed.
Healthy,
delicious and oh-so-simple to make. . . The corn bhel will rule the roost as
one of the all time favourite snack!
