At
Witty International School we believe that Film has the potential to fascinate,
inspire and educate students, opening their minds to the world around them. Our
school uses the power of film to help high school students become global
citizens.
After
a wonderful start last week we had decided to expand our world of science
cinema to the students of other schools as well, because in Witty
International School we believe in
spreading the power of knowledge in our society. So we urged our students to
invite one friend along with them for our Science Film Festival on Saturday, 19th July, 2014.
The movie
shown to the Wittians and the guest students was “March of the Penguins”
which is an Oscar Award Winning
Documentary co-produced by Bonne Pioche and the National Geographic
Society. The fim potrays how in each winter, alone in the pitiless ice deserts
of Antarctica, deep in the most inhospitable terrain on Earth, the Emperor
Penguins embark on a a truly remarkable journey.
Guest Students from the schools
all over Mumbai arrived to watch the film with the Wittians. They had an
amazing experience watching this remarkable documentary in the state of the art
“Sparkle Auditorium” of Witty
International School. The Wittians guided their friends around the school. The
Wittians and their guests cherished this
larger than life cinematic experience at WIS where Science truly came alive !
