“Want to know how a cake factory works?”
Well, this was exactly the question in the minds of the students
of Grade 4, as they set out to visit Birdy’s Cake Factory on the 2nd of
August, 2014.
Birdy's
was established by Taj Group of Hotels in 1993 and is now owned by Wah
Restaurants Pvt. Ltd. With over 56 outlets
across Mumbai and Pune, Birdy's delights its customers with
freshly baked cakes, pastries and sandwiches.
Students were taken on the trip around the factory to
see the various stages of production of croissants, breads, pastries, cakes and
chocolates which is their all time favourite. They
saw how these bakery and confectionery items are made and the cake garnishings
left many of them amazed.
The students received mouth watering chocolate cake on behalf of
the management.
WIS would like to thank the management and the staff of Birdy’s
Cake Factory for making the trip informative and enjoyable for the students
