Hindi Divas
Education is not about just ensuring that
students learn facts and reason, but also that they imbibe a rich value system.
To pay tribute to the Hindi language and to mark the anniversary of it being
declared as India’s national official language, Primary
Section of Witty International School celebrated Hindi Divas-‘Darpan’ with
enthusiasm and fervour on 12th September 2014.
Different literary programs were organized to pay respect to this language. To inculcate in
the students the importance of this day, activities such as handwriting,
poetry recitation, story-telling, poster making, singing, etc. were conducted in
Hindi that brought out the creativity and patriotic zeal of the students. Among
the various other competitions, making an advertisement and mono-acting were
the highlights of the event. The students who came dressed in various
characters carried appropriate props and looked splendid in their colourful
costumes. A thought for the day and quotations were displayed in Hindi on the
bulletin boards of the school. Winners of different categories were awarded the
commendation certificates.
