Make a circle, make a circle,
Draw it in the sky.
Use your finger, use your finger,
Make it round as a pie.
Draw a square, draw a square,
Make the lines so straight.
Make a square, make a square,
Draw a box in the air.
Draw a triangle, draw a triangle,
Always start at the top.
Make a tent, make a tent,
Use three lines and stop!
Opal Oval is my name.
The circle and I are not the same.
The circle is round, as round can be.
I am shaped like an egg as you can see
Today, on 19th December 2014, little wittians from the nursery class had a very interesting "shape parade day". They brought different shaped toys and showed it to everyone . The teachers and the children then discussed about the shapes and their sides. Teacher then introduced the Opal the oval shape and objects by using story flashcards and objects. Children did dabbing on the Oval shape worksheet. Children were encouraged to think creatively and identify objects and figures that had an oval shape.
