Career Talk in WIS Pawan Baug
As students we all face the question of
‘what next’ after class 12th and 10th. Witty International School recognizes
the need of right career guidance helping the students to know the pros and
cons of the different streams and career paths so that the students can make an
informed and progressive choice.
For helping the students of Grade
IGCSE-II decide their career choices WIS Pawan Baug, invited a very esteemed guest
of Honour , Ms. Jayanti Ghose, a renowned and very well known Career &
Education Consultant. Her research in the area of career counselling and
guidance spans almost three decades. She has been the most widely read career
counsellor in India through her print and online career guidance columns.
From 1985 through 1990, she pioneered
the concept of career counselling in the premier schools and colleges all over
India. Her ongoing research, and intuitive understanding of the subject of
education and careers, has enabled her to help thousands of students and
mid-career professionals in their search for the best career opportunities. Jayanti
Ghose has had a long association with the Times of India. She was recognized as
the Best Career Counsellor in Education on the occasion of the 18th Business
School Affaire & Dewang Mehta Business School Awards by Hindustan Unilever
Limited. She was also awarded the ‘Role Model & Career Specialist Award’ on
the occasion of Asia's Best B-School Awards in July 2010 at Singapore.
The session began with a welcome address
by the Head Girl after which Ms. Jayanti Ghose enriched the parents and
students with the right career choices. The session helped the students to
organize their thoughts and ideas which boosted their morale and confidence. The
session helped the students to choose a field in tune with their skills and job
expectations ultimately helping them to succeed. The presentation was followed
by an open interaction wherein the queries of the students and parents were
addressed. Our Managing Director and Trustee, Dr. Vinay Jain also addressed the
students and guided them on making the right career decisions stating that,
“Choice of career must be based not only on individual decisions, but must also
positively contribute to the social wellbeing of our Nation.”
The session ended with a very hearty
vote of thanks to Ms. Jayanti Ghose and all the students and parents who
attended the session followed by the National Anthem.
