15th August every year is celebrated as the
Independence Day of India. Witty International School, Pawan Baug celebrated the
Independence Day with full patriotic fervour and zeal. Students of Primary
Section participated enthusiastically in the activities planned to celebrate
this memorable day on 14th August, 2015.
Students worked unitedly on assigned activity to show their
love for mother country and pay homage to great freedom fighters. Students’
efforts were displayed in the community area which shared the things that
resembles India like images of great leaders due to whom every Indian is
breathing freely and the National symbols. A tricolour map of India was collated
using petals of different fresh flowers.
Students of Grade I to IV were geared up and
enthused for a momentous assembly to celebrate the 69th Independence
Day of India. Students spoke about the importance of the Independence Day and
expressed their emotions through patriotic songs and a wonderful dramatisation of
the freedom struggle of India from the British. Our little
Wittians paid homage to the leaders and martyrs who sacrificed their lives for
the country. The presentation was truly enthralling as our young
children displayed their talents. It ended with two dance performances and the
National Anthem.
