Navaratri, culminating with Dussehra, is a cultural festival of great
importance and significance for all in our country. WIS at Bhilwara celebrated
these two festivals with immense zeal and enthusiasm on 20th
October, 2015. Programme started with lighting of the lamp and worshiping of
Goddess Durga.
Students and teachers came dressed in beautiful ethnic and colorful traditional
attires. Children were explained the importance of these festivals. They enjoyed dancing on the foot tapping garba and dandiya songs. The entire school was a prism of colours
as it was decorated beautifully to set the mood for lively garba and dandiya. Children had great fun and entertainment. At last with the message that
victory of truth and goodness over evil will happen only when each one of us takes
responsibility to first be the change we want to see in the world, the
effigy of Ravana was burnt. The whole school resonated with joy and happiness.
