With an aim to rekindle the love for India’s
official language amongst our students, Witty International School, Pawan Baug celebrated ‘DARPAN’
- Hindi Diwas on Wednesday, 14th September 2016 with
great fervour. The atmosphere was filled with vigour and enthusiasm, along with
the fine blend of competitions and cultural programme.
Students
enthusiastically participated in various competitions such as Handwriting
Competition, Poetry Recitation, Advertisement, Collage Making, Fancy Dress,
Singing and Elocution in Hindi to highlight our National language. Wittians
put in their hard efforts for a beautiful cultural programme where the audience
was illuminated and enraptured by effulgent performances put up by them.
The cultural
programme included dances, songs and plays. Students displayed ‘Matraon Ki
Pehchan’ highlighting the importance of each letter in the form of poetry, also
made for a very interesting sight while enacting a tough fight between the
basic letters. The students sang
songs in praise of Hindi, and made a presentation of amazing facts regarding
the language. Melodious
tune of very famous Hindi couplet poem sung by a group of students grabbed the
attention of onlookers.
This
merriment was graced in the presence of our Guest of Honour “Shri. Vibhav
Avdoot Rajadhyaksha”. The Chief Guest was overwhelmed and appreciated the confidence
of the students, specifically Grade 1 and 2. Head Mistress, Kavita Saboo
remarked that we are very comfortable speaking in Hindi as it’s the language
that belongs to us.
