Art Appreciation Day
Art
Appreciation Day complements the free-thinking outlet for students to express
themselves through the arts. Creativity and imagination are important
equipment, which teach students to approach things with an open mind. Art is a form of communication,
it is another way of expressing ourselves and our emotions. It allows children to gain
self-confidence, belief in their abilities and to learn through play.
To
develop artistic skill, confidence, and ability to express one’s opinion
confidently,Art Appreciation Day was celebrated at Witty International School
(Primary RCL).All the creative items made by the students were displayed and
everyone was welcome to the event! The art teacher volunteered the
responsibility to setup the artwork exhibition.
Also an Inter-House
Drawing and Colouring Competition was organised on 9th August
2016 for Primary Section Grade II to V. The
topic for the competition was Indian Festival. Students proved that they not
only excel in academics, but also shine in exhibiting their skills by
their creative presentations using crayons, oil pastel and water colours.
The criteria for judgement were: Proportionate Design,
Appropriateness of colours used, Perspective, Overall impression of the art
work.
