"I
learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The
brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear."
-By Nelson Mandela
Nelson Mandela was born
on July 18 and the day is adopted by the United Nations as International
Mandela Day. It is more than a celebration of Nelson Mandela’s life and legacy,
it is a global movement to take his life’s works into a new century and change our
world for the better.
WIS Bhilwara took the
opportunity to present a special assembly on Mandela Day where students
delivered a speech highlighting his contributions in the global society. After
the assembly students of Grade VI to VIII watched a video on life of Nelson
Mandela, who devoted his life to the service of Humanity.
