It was a red letter day in the history of India when the country got her
freedom on August 15, 1947. It took hundreds of years to break the shackles of
slavery. This day is celebrated with a lot of pomp and show.

on Independence Day by Ms Sanjhi Shah, followed by patriotic songs sung by our
little Wittians. Ms Anahita Singh in her English spoke about freedom fighters
and to value the freedom we have secured due to their sacrifices.

dressed as national heroes such as Mahatma Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Bhagat
Singh and Pandit Nehru but also vocalized the slogans given by them thus raising
the spirits of the celebration. The finale, a captivating dance performance on
patriotic songs received the much deserved applause from the audience
present.
