Language is to the mind more than light is to the
eye.
It is our continuous effort to
encourage the expressions, comprehensions and thinking skills of our students.
Keeping this foremost in mind, it was indeed a moment of pride for Witty
International School, Pawan Baug to organize an event- Odyssey with an
objective of underlining the importance of English language as the modern day
link language of the world on 25th January, 2018.
All the students came in a tricoloured
dress and participated enthusiastically in their respective event categories
like Unmute your Thoughts (Elocution), Word’s Worth (Poetry Recitation), Page
to Stage (Enacting as a freedom fighter), Dive into Fantasy (Summarising a
story), Words come Alive (Write your own story or poem), Hymns of Glory
(Singing). Paragraph Writing was mandatory for all the students.
Students were very well prepared and confident to face the judges. This event provided a platform to the students for self expression and creativity. This initiative encouraged the students to strengthen their language proficiency in English. All the students were given participation certificates for their enrollment in various events and the winners in each category will be awarded with commendation certificates.
