Tourism plays a vital role in the
growth and development of a country. It has enormous potential to create jobs
and thus combat widespread unemployment in the country. It also plays a
quintessential role in the socio-cultural integration of a country.
Tourism increases
our appreciation and knowledge of arts, artifacts and architecture, while
stressing on the need to preserve these symbols of our history. Keeping this in
mind, Primary
Wittians of WIS, Pawan Baug geared up to host the exhibition on the the occasion
of World Tourism Day
on Thursday, 27th September 2018 creating an awareness of the importance
of tourism and the social,
cultural, political and economic values of various tourist countries.
Creative models and charts enthused the onlookers which showed the united
efforts put in by teachers and the students. Moreover the excitement within the
students to dress up in the traditional attire of the assigned country and
sharing the information about it after the greeting in their dialect was like a
cherry on the cake. Parents of Grade I, IV and V were mesmerized as they got an
opportunity to tour around the world in a few minutes.It was amazing to see the
displayed collection of few things produced in these countries. On the occasion of
World Tourism Day, we can say that creativity of our students travelled really
well.
