‘Slaughter your ego, and elevate
the spirituality within you. Become Rama, Not Ravana’.
Dussehra is an important festival
celebrated in India. It is also known as Vijiya Dashmi. It marks the triumph of
truth and love over evil and hatred. It is celebrated in different styles and
magnitude in different parts of the country.
Wittians of Grade VI to VIII
witnessed and participated in a special assembly on the occasion of Dussehra
Festival with great zeal and enthusiasm. They were given information about the
victory of Lord Rama over the great demon of Lanka, Ravana. They enacted the
whole scenario collectively called as Ramlila to entertain and and perhaps
enlighten them on the Epic of Ramayan. They also performed a foot lapping garba
dance to recall and summarize our knowledge of rich Indian folklore.
