Elocution
classes are a part of any good English session. It provides an opportunity to
speak formally with the proper knowledge and use of pronunciation, grammar,
style and tone. Be it the communication classes or the English lessons, Witty
International school,Atun Road, Bhilwara is always working on the communication, diction
and general speaking skills of the children. We decided to provide a platform
to the budding orators of our school through an Inter house Elocution
Competition on 29th and 30th of October 2018, which
challenged students of Grade 4th and 5th to present a
speech in a proper tone, rhythm, pronunciation and voice modulation.
The
topic for Grade 4th was “Value Of Discipline” and the topic for Grade
5th was “Where there is a will, there is a way”. The students of
both the classes spoke well and addressed the topic from various angles with a
good effort. They spoke fluently and to the point.
It was
heartwarming to see almost all the candidates speaking beautifully and
eloquently. Many first timers also did good justification to the topic. The
objective of this activity was to make the children more expressive, confident
and spontaneous in their way of speaking.
Vice
Principal of the school Mr Arif Khan, Mrs Neha khan, Mrs Priyanka Baldwa , Mrs
Prishita Jajoo,Mrs Pratibha Rathi and Ms Shruti Sharma judged the competition
on different parameters.
The
principal of the school Mrs Abha Mittal and Vice Principal Mr Arif khan also
highlighted the topics advising the students on value of discipline and
motivating the students on their will powers.
At the
end the audience was called to feel free to give their inputs about these
interesting topics.
