India’s National festival, Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated by the entire nation to commemorate the birth anniversary of the Father of our Nation - Mahatma Gandhi. On October 1 st , 2018, young Wittians of Grades I and II of Witty International School, Udaipur, celebrated Gandhi Jayanti by conducting a special assembly. Little angels of Grade I Cambridge came dressed in white clothes as a mark of respect for Bapu. The assembly began with a special tribute to Gandhi ji as the students sang Bapu’s favourite devotional song “Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram”. After that, presentation of Dandi March was carried out by the students followed by an act depicting the Swadeshi movement in which wearing homespun cotton clothes was stressed on , which also included Gandhiji”s thought of leading a simple but noble life. The programme concluded with students echoing the National anthem.
