India is a country known for its different
cultures and tradition. It’s very important for us to educate our children
about our country’s vast culture. Hence we organised a “Hornbiill
festival” celebration for our little Wittians at Pawan
Baug on 7th December 2018.
Hornbill festival is a traditional
harvesting festival of Nagaland named after Indian Hornbill, a colourful bird
found in the forest. It exhibits the vast and beautiful culture of different
kinds of tribes of Nagaland. Teacher dressed up in beautiful north east attire
and children were shown a video of the festival and different kinds of
competition that takes place during the same. There was a music and movement
session in which our little Wittians danced on a north eastern tune and played games
too.
Children made a wrist band out of straws
with the help of teachers. It was a fun filled activity that encouraged children
to learn more with fun.
