The Indian Republic Day
26 January, a proud moment when the Constitution of India came into existence was
celebrated with utter enthusiasm and patriotism at Witty International School
on Saturday, January 26, 2019. The cold and frosty morning of 70th
anniversary of Republic day at Witty ground transcendent when teachers and
students came draped in colors of Tiranga.
The ceremony
commenced with the hoisting of the tricolour by honorable Chief Guest Mrs .
Sushila Devi, a person who witnessed the first republic day of India very
closely. The music band of the school played National anthem which reverberated
everyone with the feelings of patriotism. The entire school courtyard was
resplendent in the shades of tricolor.
It was followed by inspiring speeches on the
significance of occasion. The spectacular dance stole the heats of everyone. The
skit on fundamental rights was highly educative. The power and energy exhibited
by youngsters arched their commitment and dedication and assured of a brighter
future ahead. The Vice – Principal in his speech exhorted us to maintain the
dignity of being a citizen of a Republic. He underlined that it is very
important to being a good citizen.
A vote of thanks was
tabled by the Anchors in the end. Students moved to their respective classes
and savored the sweets and goodies with great delight. The students and
teachers dispersed with a pledge in heart to uphold the honor, integrity,
dignity and uniqueness of our nation.
