National Sports Day is celebrated on 29th August, the birth anniversary of Indian Hockey champion-Major Dhyan Chand who was nicknamed as ‘A Magician’ or ‘A Wizard’ for his incredible skill in ball control.
As rightly said by Billie Jean King, “Sports teaches you character, it teaches you to play by the rules, it teaches you to loose and win, it teaches you about life.”
Wittians of Grade l and ll participated in a J.A.M Session entitled: ‘My favourite sports’ where students spoke about their favourite sports personality and the sport which they love to be part of.
Students of Grade lll to V(CBSE and CAIE) and GradeVl to Vlll (CAIE) were imparted the knowledge of sports through a spellbinding guest lecture by Mr. Kailash Meena, Cricket coach and Head of KT Academy, which inspired the young minds to participate in various sports events with zeal and enthusiasm.
