Ganesh Chaturthi is
celebrated with great joy and devotion in India. People bring Ganesha Idols and
worship them during Ganesh Chaturthi. Ganesh Chaturthi is considered as the day
on which Lord Ganesha the son of Lord Shiva and Parvati comes down on earth to
shower his blessings on his devotees.
The little Wittians
of Pre-primary section celebrated “Ganesh Chaturthi” festival on Friday,
30th August 2019.
The Ganesh Chaturthi celebration included activities wherein,
the little ones of Playgroup to Junior KG coloured the worksheet of
Ganpati and kids of Sr. KG had drawn a picture of Lord Ganpati in
their scrapbook and were shown Ganpati Idols made of different materials
(Plaster of Paris and Clay) and it’s immersion to learn about the importance of
eco-friendly Ganpati idols.
Overall, the spirit and the enthusiasm of the
festival was lightened up with the chanting of few shlokas and the songs of
Lord Ganesha were played. Children danced to foot tapping music and enjoyed a lot. They all together
cheered loudly "Ganpati Bappa Morya"!!!
